Privacy Policy
This page explains what data Grometrics processes and how that data is used.
What we collect
We collect account details, billing details, and analytics data you choose to send to Grometrics, such as pageviews, conversion events, attribution metadata, country, region, and browser-reported timezone. For security and bot detection, we temporarily retain a capped request user-agent together with parsed device details, a non-reversible IP digest, and the network owner and ASN derived from the request IP. If country lookup fails, we encrypt the IP address in a restricted retry record for no more than 24 hours and erase it after success or expiry. We do not retain visitor city names, latitude or longitude, and never store raw IP addresses in analytics or diagnostic records.
How we use data
We use this data to operate the product, provide coarse geographic analytics, prevent abuse, process billing, and improve the service. Abuse detection uses a keyed, non-reversible digest instead of storing the raw IP address.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers needed to run Grometrics, such as infrastructure, payment, email, and database vendors.
Retention and security
Encrypted location-retry records are deleted after resolution or within 24 hours. Operational request diagnostics are restricted from normal analytics access and deleted after 30 days. Other data is retained for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect it.
